Fabrication & Manufacturing

Orthotics
Dr. Peterson’s orthotic expertise ranges from pediatric care to spinal care, to adult neuromuscular care. The populations she has cared for include Myelomeningocele, Cerebral Palsy, spinal deformities (such as scoliosis), hip dysplasia, clubfoot, arthritis, Stroke (CVA), Polio, Multiple Sclerosis, and diabetes, servicing patients in an outpatient and inpatient rehab setting, ICU acute care, emergency room, cardiac care and trauma settings.

Prosthetics
Dr. Peterson’s prosthetic expertise ranges from pediatric care to adult care. She has provided care and consultations for amputee pre-surgical and post-surgical. She has experience in postoperative fittings and skin care as well as preparatory prosthetic fittings and definitive prosthetic fittings.

Dr. Peterson has fit a plethora of designs of prosthetic devices for both the lower and upper extremities. Didactically, she is knowledgeable in all aspects of prosthetics as she has served as the lead prosthetics professor for the past 12 years in a university setting.

Innovative Research

At O&P Clinical Innovations, our research is focused on advancing patient-centered orthotic and prosthetic solutions through clinician-led innovation and evidence-based design. Operating from our 4,000 sq. ft. facility in Mercer, PA, we conduct in-house research and development to create more efficient, affordable, and functional devices. Our work bridges clinical care with cutting-edge technology to improve outcome measures, mobility, and quality of life for individuals with limb loss and mobility challenges.

Consulting

Expert Testimony
We offer services to both defendants and plaintiffs assuring a fair, positive outcome for the individual. We will meet your clients’ needs by providing detailed approach to care customized to an individual patient’s needs to ensure your client receives the most optimal devices and equipment. Dr. Peterson has expert knowledge in all areas of orthotics and prosthetics as well as focusing on research and innovation, rehabilitative care and billing issues.

Training & Education
Dr. Peterson and her team provide services to teachers, educational leaders and life-care planners seeking a subject matter expert to discuss a range of assistive technology and science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) in classroom settings.

Advocacy
Dr. Peterson’s team provides education and resources to assist with living with a limb loss or limb difference and/or mobility impairment. Her team’s goal is educating through advocacy to improve the quality of lives for those who use assistive technology. She is the founder of WISE Women offering inspiration, support, education and empowerment for women in a welcoming environment.
